First thing you do after a long day:
Take my hair OUT!!!
Who am I trying to impress. 😂 I remove every presentable thing, put my phone on Do Not Disturb and sit in the quiet. It is WONDERFUL.
Least favorite thing to do:
Leave the house 😂 it feels like work.
Talk on the phone – it’s rare that I ever pick up, it’s ALWAYS on Do Not Disturb if I’m alone. You’d have to be really special for me to pick up or text back 😂.
What you hear often?
Are you hungry?
KeeKee, you can’t change the world. – why does everyone keep saying that.
What others think about you:
People who don’t know me, think I have the greatest life. They think I’m the most social person on the planet. They think I go out a lot, or party a lot, or have many many friends.
People who know me, think I’m the most boring human on earth, quiet and at times a talkative person, fun when I need to be and energetic when I’m paid to be. They might think I’m unreliable because I never show up anywhere. They know I’m trustworthy. As annoying as I am they always know I love and care for them and they TRY to reciprocate.
People think I’m the type of person who likes to party. 😂 I HATE loud music. Unless I’m in the comfort of my own home.
I’ve probably been clubbing 7 times max between 18-24 years old. The last time was on my 24th birthday when someone else planned my birthday. Not since then. 😂 It’s not my cup of tea.
Easiest part of being a writer:
I love getting to do what I love in my own time. It comes easy. When I’m not writing I’m thinking about writing. I get to put myself in a different time zone or place and in the shoes of my own characters and see everyone’s point of view.
It makes up for my lack of speech. Sometimes people ask me how I’m feeling and I have trouble expressing my true feelings, so writing it down is always easier for me… then I run and hide away depending on what I’ve said. 😂
Hardest part of being a writer :
Not knowing when to turn it off. I send long text messages when I actually respond. I’M SORRY 😂 . I find it hard to shorten my messages so sometimes I write them and send them a few hours or days later when I think of a summary version of what I want to say.
It takes me away from the people I love because I’m having so much fun and I get told that I’m never present. My goal is to learn to know when to take a break and appreciate the people and things I love.
My emotions change based on the character I’m focusing on. If I seem stressed out I’m usually reading or writing about a character who is going through something. I feel like I’m in their shoes.
What inspired you to write:
A computer. Literally. I was 10.
I didn’t want to get off the new computer so I decided to do something productive. I loved seeing my fingers type on the keyboard.
I’d write plenty stories, but they got destroyed in the rain. Then I stopped for years.
I was 14 in secondary school when I got top marks for just writing about my life’s journey. I received an A for final exams, and my teacher gave me a talk at the end, telling me I was talented after everyone left. Miss Evans. She used my story as an example on “how to hold the reader”. I didn’t know that’s what I did. I just wrote from the heart.
What would your ex’s say about you?
Kind! That’s ALWAYS number one.
Too happy.
Trust worthy.
Hard to understand but worth the challenge once they do. Eventually they always did. 😂 they can read me like a book now.
The only one worth keeping around after the nails are in the coffin. I never knew if that was a compliment or not though.
Usually, try to find ways to fix it but I was always running away and too far away by the time they were ready. Sucks to be me I guess.
Hands down. I’ve dated some of the greatest people I’ve ever met. No regrets.
What is your personal romantic life like?
Well I’ve never been in love. I sometimes believe I am though. When I do find love eventually, prepare for one of the greatest love stories ever written. That’ll be my favorite book!
How are you at relationships?
I’m terrible. I like to fix everything and anything. And I take care of my partner like a fragile child. I can’t help it!
My partner needs to know he’s the most important person in the world and feel like a 10 at all times. When he walks out the house he feels like the hottest lad on the planet. I was pretty romantic if you ask me. 😂
In the past, he would usually wake up to breakfast and or packed lunch to take to work. And walk in to dozens of candles. Depending on the occasion. They made dinner 😂. I never made dinner, but I did the dishes. One day I’ll be the one making dinner I guess. I look forward to it.
I’m pretty spontaneous. One day I’ll look like a bum. Next day I look like a business woman and just when I’m about to get boring, I throw on a dress and my heels and I’m an entirely different person.
I’d say I adapt well. I believe in meeting half way and that sacrifices have to be made to make us both happy. I’m a totally different person as I figure it out and I’m usually good at getting to the half way mark at best.
Ideal mate?
Someone who’s protective. Not controlling but understands I can be soft sometimes and they will need to be the lead. Someone I can trust to lead is the most important. Hopefully, they’ll be confident enough to speak for me when I’m being naive.
Someone who isn’t perfect and appreciates that neither am I.
Someone who listens. And also talks. Non judgmental and is comfortable opening up about anything and everything. Or is happy just talking about nothing or not talking at all. Just chillin’.
He would need the patience, wisdom and confidence to know when to tell me to be silent and let him speak or make the right decisions for me. I’m pretty naive. There’s a LOOOOOT of things I don’t know or have experienced. I could be standing in the middle of a fire and I wouldn’t know there’s a fire until the alarm goes off. 🤦🏾♀️ I don’t know why that happens. So he’d have to be a strong leader and ready to jump in when I say or do something naive or when I’m unaware. I just gotta say “ok, if you think that’s what’s best.” 😂😂😂 my decisions are usually terrible anyway.
A person who isn’t scared of rainy days and welcomes fresh start.
Someone rough around the edges but is prepared to walk in a room full of important people and I can count on them to speak and act well, but he’ll be nothing like that at home. He’ll be laid back, playful and sarcastic ideally and still rough around the edges. Slang and all.
Someone with a good sense of style. Though I’ll be buying all the clothes. I usually can’t help it. If I see it. I’m buying it without asking. And he needs to wear it. I keep him looking expensive and he won’t complain.
A person who is comfortable in himself and understands that I like to work hard but need the security of a strong hand to cry on. 😂 I often out do myself so giving comfort is his job.
Hopefully he’ll have dreams or hobbies of his own. I’d welcome the challenge of making them happen. That’s my kind of fun. Making things happen just so I can witness and celebrate the joy.
I don’t need motivating but it’d be nice to love a motivator.
Hopefully a person who likes to stay in but is ok with traveling the world if needed.
Clearly, I’ve got BIG DREAMS so why not dream about the ideal partner too. 😂😂
Ok TMI. Next question.
What is the difference between you and Autumn?
I think Autumn is at a place in her life where she’s not only trying to navigate and make the best decisions for herself, while trying to do it alone, but she’s on a journey of learning to love and still keep a piece of herself, despite her circumstances. Her biggest fear is letting hatred get into her heart and becoming anything like Tommy.
My journey is a little father along than Autumn’s now. We are 2 complete different people right now, but we are the exact same person by the end.
Who inspired Autumn’s character?
Me. The things I’ve seen happen. My personal experiences and experiences of people around me.
Who inspired Tommy?
😂😂 If I tell you that, then I would spoil the the entire story. 😉
